
Rotary GB&1 have ground rules for events sites using vehicles and the movement of vehicles:
- Vehicles should not be moved on site 30 minutes before an event commences.
- Similarly, they should not be moved until after the last visitors have left the event, 15 minutes is a reasonable period.
- A site speed limit needs to be implemented, 5mph is the recommended speed.
- Marshals will guide vehicles in and out of sites.
- Keys should never be left in vehicles.
- Vintage or classic vehicles should have their batteries disconnected. Some older vehicles do not have key starts, just a button or plunger.
- Marshals will check that the vehicles are all 'safe' prior to the event commencing.
- Record all vehicles against those booked in.
- Ensure the vehicle owners have signed a copy of the site rules and both parties have a copy.
